MEADVILLE — David (Dave) Glynn Cavanah, 42, of 232 Walker Drive, Meadville, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

Dave was born in Manchester, N.H., on Jan. 23, 1971, a son of the late David Glynn and Linda Caswell Cavanah. On July 27, 1992, Dave married Colleen F. Doty, who survives.

He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God, Meadville.

Dave received his GED in New Hampshire. He was a member of Meadville Volunteer Fire Department. His hobbies included gardening, building model cars and following NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt.

Dave was a man of great faith who loved Jesus and is now walking alongside his Father. A loving husband, dad, son and brother, he played a big part in the lives of his family. He enjoyed the smile of his wife, the laughter of his children and the gathering of friends and family. Dave is, and always will be, alive in Christ.

In addition to his wife, Colleen of 20 years, Dave is survived by five children, Kyle R. Cavanah of Meadville, Megan R. Cavanah of Warren, Ohio, Alexander D. Cavanah, Sarah E. Cavanah and Rebbekagrace N. Cavanah, all of Meadville; a sister, Cathy E. Cavanah, and a half brother, Frankie Lombardo, both of Manchester, N.H.; his father and mother-in-law, Dennis W. and Carrie L. Doty of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Jenna Humes and her husband, Keith, of Edinboro; and a brother-in-law, Tyler Doty of Meadville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God, 18320 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, with Pastor Jamie Huselton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
