James (Jim) S. Kregel, 56, of Meadville, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at home.
Born Nov. 22, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was a son of Reed Kregel and Vonnie Mead Kregel.
He graduated from W.D. Ray High School in Corpus Christi. He had previously worked at Starn Tool and recently at Chipblaster.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include is best friend and personal companion, Shirley Kimple of Meadville; his father, Reed R. Kregel of Greenwood, Ark.; a daughter, Cindy K. Holeva of Meadville; a son, Reed G. Kregel and his wife, Andrea, of Meadville; eight grandchildren, Rylee and Addy Kregel, Nevada, Trevor, Baylee and Caden Holeva, Josie Kimple and Todd Ross; two sisters, Shirley K. Slaughter of Allen, Texas, and Jackie Smith of Deer, Ark.; and very dear friends, Mark and Marie Hanaway of Meadville.
He was preceded in death by his mother; brother-in-law, Jim Lancaster; niece, Kayla Lancaster; nephew, Casey Kregel; and grandparents, Leola and Jim McNabb.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, 719 Washington St., Meadville, officiated by the Rev. Philip Torre.
