FRANKLIN — Dale E. Harry, 58, of Franklin, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1955, in Meadville, a son of the late Wayne and Marguerite Paradis Harry. He married Theresa A. Hazlett on June 17, 1972. She survives.

He had been employed by his father, Wayne Harry with the Wayne Harry Refuse, Franklin and Oil City.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the American Legion Post 476, Franklin, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 67.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Theresa A. Harry of Franklin; two daughters, Jennifer Beers and her husband, Stephen Beers Jr., of Franklin, and Trish Worst and her husband, Chad Worst, of Cherry Tree; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Shaffer Jr., Chelsie Shaffer, Cierra Worst, Cole Worst, Brittany Beers, Cassie Beers, Megan Beers, Stephen Beers and Scott Beers; a brother, Gerald Harry and his wife, Judy, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and nieces and nephews, Marcia King, Melissa Boreman, Brandy Myers, Brian Bailey, Dennis Hazlett, Jamie Hazlett, Shawn Hazlett, Cheyenne Hazlett, Ashton Burrows and Abagail Burrows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Harry; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Harry.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor David Brumagin, Pastoral Care at Meadville Medical Center, officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by the Venango Veteran’s Honor Guard.
