Eugene Floyd Williams, 80, of Saegertown, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at his residence.
He was born April 17, 1933, in Erie, a son of Floyd Williams and Marcella Smith Williams. He married Evelyn Tabak on May 27, 1961, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 1999.
He was a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School and was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Eugene was a member of Saint Bernadette Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and automobile restoration, but most of all he loved being around his family.
Eugene is survived by two sons, Daniel Williams and his wife, Christine, and Gene Williams and his wife, Kimberly; four grandchildren, Daniel Meade Williams, Lauren Evelyn Williams, Nathan Williams and Luke Williams; two sisters, Jeanette Ebisch and her husband, David, and Shirley Carrick; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his loving wife, Evelyn Williams, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Rinderle.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, Renner Alley, Saegertown, with Father David Poulson, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Saint Agatha Cemetery.
