CONNEAUT LAKE — Frances Rose Pelchen, 84, of 11380 N. Watson Run Road, Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, in Port Orange, Fla.

She was born in Meadville on Feb. 6, 1929, a daughter of Rosario Frisina and Nancy Sotille Frisina. She married Fred Pelchen on Sept. 12, 1953.

Frances was a graduate of Meadville High School Class of 1947 and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake.

Fran was a devout Catholic, wife, mother, sister-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Through her unwavering faith, she was a beacon of light and hope for all who knew her. She loved God, family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Fred, of 60 years; a daughter, Therese Pelchen of Port Orange; two sons, Mark Pelchen (Jill) of Greensburg and Tom Pelchen (Tina) of Ormond Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Nicole Ralston (Addam) of Ormond Beach, Lindsay Mach (Steve) of Ormond Beach, Ashley Pelchen of Ormond Beach, Brittany McLeod (Justin) of Palm Coast, Fla., Carly Pelchen of Greensburg and Lexie Pelchen of Greensburg; two great-grandchildren, Owen Ralston of Ormond Beach and Carson McLeod of Palm Coast; a sister-in-law, Gladys Butzen of Sheboygan, Wis.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Josephine Anselmo, Lena Petruso, Grace Frisina, Mary Anselmo and Marian Derby, all of Meadville; and a brother, Tony Frisina of Meadville.

Catholic Mass will be at Epiphany Catholic Church, Port Orange, Tuesday at 11 a.m.
