ADAMSVILLE — Lenn B. Burleson, 95, of Adamsville, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013, in White Cliff Health and Rehabilitation Center, Greenville, after a brief illness.

Born April 9, 1918, in Crossnore, N.C., he was a son of the late Linzie A. and Belle Z. Franklin Burleson.

Mr. Burleson retired from Greenville Steel Car after 34 years as a millwright.

He was a member of Adamsville Presbyterian Church.

He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

He enjoyed golfing, mowing the lawn, and his dog named Benji.

Survivors include his wife, the former Geraldine M. (Jean) Skelton, at home; four daughters, Patricia M. (Robert) Jepson of Annapolis, Md., Christine Maxwell of Tucson, Ariz., Mary Luce of Jamestown, and Michelle Erie of Meadville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a sister, Martha Dolan of Andover, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by a sister, M. Jean Keller; and two brothers, Robert M. Burleson and Franklin Ellis Burleson.

In lieu of flowers, family requests material contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1245 Park Ave., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or Adamsville Presbyterian Church, PO Box 56, Adamsville, Pa. 16110.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday in Adamsville Presbyterian Church, 3879 Main St., Adamsville

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church, with the Rev. Harry H. Johns III officiating.

Interment will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery, East Fallowfield Township, with military honors by Jamestown Honor Guard 5424.
