Pauline R. Davis

CONNEAUT LAKE — Pauline R. Davis, 83, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

She was born Jan. 25, 1930, in East Fallowfield Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Paul L. and Thelma Reaugh Andrews. She married Hugh A. Davis on Jan. 27, 1956, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2000.

Pauline was employed in production for several years at Talon and subsequently worked in the cafeteria at Conneaut Lake Elementary School and in the money room at Conneaut Lake Park during the summer.

Pauline was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake and its various circles. She was also a member of the Conneaut Lake Historical Society, Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 Auxiliary, Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall Station 5, Rebekah Lodge, Watson Run Women’s Club and the Red Hat Society of Conneaut Lake and Vernon Township. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Survivors include three sons, Charles L. Davis and his wife, Joyce, of Conneaut Lake, Gary L. Davis and his wife, Sue, of Altoona, and Richard Davis and his wife, Esther, of Cloudcroft, N.M.; a sister, Arlene Heffern of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Richard, Michael and Lucas Davis; great-grandchildren; a niece, Fran VonBusek of Meadville; and a nephew, James Heffern of Conneaut Lake.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Randy Davis; a sister, Betty Peterson; and a brother, William Andrews.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, 145 S. Fifth St., Conneaut Lake, with the Rev. Mark Frailey, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, P.O. Box 150, Conneaut Lake, Pa. 16316; the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa. 16335; or the American Cancer Society, 505 Poplar St., Suite 310, Meadville, Pa. 16335.
