Marilyn M. Henry

MEADVILLE — Marilyn M. Henry, 75, of Meadville, and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 30, 1937, in Meadville, a daughter of Homer J. and Gertrude A. Hibbard Henry.

Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Meadville High School. She worked as a secretary for several years at American Viscose and subsequently for Gallagher’s Store, Duerr’s Florist, Crawford County Big Brothers and Sisters, Allegheny College, Crawford County School to Work Program and Meadville Medical Center.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Reformed Church and enjoyed doing craftwork and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Cavalier and her husband, Christopher, of Billerica, Mass., Mary Eckart and her husband, Larry, of Meadville, and Diane Minnis and her husband, Christopher, of Meadville; two sons, Daniel Toboz Jr. and his wife, MaryAnn, of Chesapeake, Va., and David Toboz and his wife, Mary, of Meadville; her mother, Gertrude Henry of Meadville; a sister, Karen Shaffer and her husband, David, of Meadville; a brother, James E. Henry and his wife, Margaret, of Meadville; 11 grandchildren, Andy, Craig and Victoria Eckart of Meadville, Colleen and Meghan Cavalier of Billerica, and Alex, Tyler and Laura Minnis and Weslei, Marisa and Karisa Toboz, all of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral and committal service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David P. McAfee, pastor of St. Paul’s Reformed Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
