Hanie D. Springston, 97, formerly of Meadville and West Virginia, passed away peacefully at 8:09 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in Rolling Fields, Conneautville, after a brief illness.
Born Feb. 22, 1916,, in Williamson, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Nancy A. Williams Davis.
She attended school and was raised in Kentucky.
Mrs. Springston was of the Protestant faith.
She was a dedicated homemaker and loved her family very much and will be sadly missed by all.
Her husband, Ivan P. Springston, whom she married June 6, 1941, preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1973.
She is survived by three daughters, Tressie Sharon Springston of Meadville, Ivadeen Clark of Owensboro, Ky., and Candy Wilson of Stoneboro; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Albert Springston; and a grandson, Jeffrey Blake.

Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. until time of the service Monday in Scott A. Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan M. Hoover, pastor of Methodists United in Faith, officiating.
Interment and the committal service will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
