HADLEY — Ralph S. Peterson of 139 Bean Road (Perry Township), Hadley, passed away unexpectedly at his residence Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 2013. He was 74.

Born in Greenville on Feb. 28, 1939, he was a son of the late Thurmon and Mabel S. Craig Peterson. On Nov. 24, 1954, he married the former Nancy J. Consider, who survives.

Ralph had been employed for 45 years at the former Greenville Steel Car and retired in June 2000 from Trinity Industries. He was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Cadman of Greenville; two brothers, Alvin Peterson and his wife, Rose Mary, of Transfer, and Walter Peterson and his wife, Marion, of Cochranton; three grandchildren, Kimberly Cadman of Greenville, Kelly Foulk of Fredonia and Robbie Cadman II of Greenville; and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Dylan and Derek Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Paul Peterson and Eugene Peterson.

Friends may call at Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and may share memories and condolences with the family online at rlsfh.com.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul O. Mitchell, visitation minister of First United Methodist and Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville, officiating.

The committal service and interment will follow at Stevenson Cemetery.
