CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS —
Louise Douglas, 93, of Cambridge Springs, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.
She was born in Richmond Township on Oct. 12, 1919, a daughter of Erl and Fern Lowing Ingraham. She married Lawrence Douglas on June 23, 1941, and he preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1985.
She was a graduate of Townville High School and was a member of First Christian Church and its Ladies Friendship Class. More recently she had been attending New Richmond United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the former Acacia Chapter 30, Order of Eastern Star in Titusville that is now merged with Golden Crown Chapter 44, Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, knitting and hand crafts.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Nutter and her husband, Jack, of Meadville; two sons, Carl L. Douglas and his wife, Joyce, of Cambridge Springs, and Ruric J. (Corky) Douglas and his wife, Brenda, of Meadville; and nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lela Slingluff.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at New Richmond United Methodist Church, 29776 State Highway 77, Cambridge Springs, with the Rev. Sarah Roncolato, pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
