Carl Theodore (Ted) Larson, 79, of Venango passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital in Erie. He was born in Ludlow on April 8, 1934, to the late Carl and Genova Larson.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958, working to rebuild post-war Germany. After the Army, he worked for the railroad and retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his son, Don (Tracey) Larson, granddaughter, Abigail and grandson, Reese, of Saegertown; long-time companion, Elaine Hanks of Venango; a brother, Laverne (Anne) Larson of Meadville; and five sisters, Connie Pegan of Meadville, Doris Allewelt of Vineland, N.J., Winifred Ketcham of Meadville, Janiece (Augie) Schultz of Westfield, N.Y., and Linda (Gary) Wagner of Cochranton; and many nieces and nephews.
Following Ted’s wishes, he was cremated with no calling hours or funeral service. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
