Donald Harry Wilcox, 84, of Cochranton died July 31, 2013, at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie.
He was born in Cochranton on April 10, 1929, the son of the late Harry T. Wilcox and Hazel Dunn Wilcox.
Mr. Wilcox married the former Florence Smith on Aug. 9, 1947.
He attended Cochranton High School.
He had retired from Heatrex of Meadville with more than 35 years of employment.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. His interests and enjoyment were hunting and outdoor activities.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Florence, include two sons, Charles A. Wilcox and his wife, Patricia, of Houston, Texas, and Douglas D. Wilcox and his wife, Amy, of Cochranton; six grandchildren, Donald, Kelli and Lacie Wilcox, Summer McCartney, and Samantha and Grace Jewell; two great grandchildren, Clair and Quin McCartney; and a brother, Carl Wilcox and his wife, Patricia, of Erie.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Wilcox; and a sister, Phylis Stevens.
Visitation is Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Dickson Family Funeral Home, Cochranton where a service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Sam Heagy officiating.
Interment will be at Cochranton Cemetery.
