He raised a vegetable garden, enjoyed canning, then entering his goods in the Crawford County Fair. Before the electronic age, he loved working on cars, having worked on many over the years. He also loved riding his Gold Wing as well as driving his vintage Pontiac GTO.

In addition to his wife, Lea, of 41 years, Stephen is survived by three children, Aaron Marshall and his wife, Jacqueline, of Brentwood, Tenn., Kimberly Eaton and her husband, Dan, of Lake City, and Shane Marshall and his companion, Kimberlee Pilewski, of Lake City; three stepchildren, Jeffrey Carter and his wife, Denise, of Saegertown, R.
