MEADVILLE — Myrtle Lorraine McKnight Swoger, 77, of Meadville died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

She was born on March 17, 1936, in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Lee Owen and Myrtle Anna Turner McKnight. She married Leslie Lee Swoger Sr. on June 22, 1957. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1987.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Crolley and her husband, George, of Cleveland, and Cynthia Groah-Swoger of Florida; three sons, Kim Allen Swoger and his wife, Lynn, of Deland, Fla., Terry Wayne Swoger of Meadville, and Les Swoger and his wife, Mickey, of Meadville; 10 grandchildren, Brian Crolley, Angela Crolley, Nicholas Swoger, Dawn Swoger, Shawn Robinson, Elizabeth Robinson, Tabitha Dodson, Christine Dodson, Jacob Dodson and Taylor Clark; and 10 great-grandchildren, Gage, Michael, Nicholas, Autumn, Hunter, Isabella, Kyle, Kayden, Jonas and Nathan. She is also survived by a brother, Carl Robert McKnight and his wife, Shirley, of Brook Park, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin McKnight and Harry McKnight; and two sisters, Leona Maison and Norma Jean McKnight.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Briar Hill.
