HAYFIELD TOWNSHIP — Margie Leone Wyant, 87, of Hayfield Township, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Meadville Medical Center with her family at her side.

On Oct. 8, 1926, in Dayton, Pa., Margie was born to Benjamin H. and Wilda Loomis Anderson Schrecengost.

Margie retired from the former Singer Heatrex of Meadville.

She was of the Protestant faith. Most importantly, she is described by her family as the most selfless person ever known; she always thought of others, never herself. Margie enjoyed her daughters and sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth C. Hall and her companion, Tom Irwin, of Saegertown, Francie Lombardozzi-Merski and her husband, Ken, of Erie, and Bonnie Wyant of Meadville; three sons, Jack Wyant and his wife, Esther, of Meadville, Joe Wyant of Houston, Texas, and Ray Wyant of Holiday, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her little dog, Patch, who gave her years of companionship and love.

Margie Leone Wyant’s wishes were for her funeral arrangements to be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 14714 Park Ave. Ext., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

All arrangements are in the care of Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
