She was raised in a Christian home where faith in God was evident in daily living, and her life was an unwavering example of that faith to her family and all who knew her. Ruth held deep honor and respect for her neighbors and community. She was a member of Harmony Grange and spent eight years as secretary. She served as Beaver Township auditor for eight years. She served on the Beaver Township Board of Elections for many years. She was also heavily involved with the “BC’s” (Beaver Center Civic Club), serving as its past and present president.

Ruth was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved time spent with family. She took pride in her home, always keeping a beautiful garden, lawn and flower beds. She will be remembered as always willing to lend a hand to friends, neighbors and those in need, and for always having the front row seat at auctions.
