MEADVILLE — Clyde Edward Jamison, Jr., 91, of 31 North Park Avenue, Meadville (formerly of Norrisville), passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.

He was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Homestead, a son of the late Clyde E. and Lorna J. Goff Jamison Sr. He married Betty F. Shultz on Aug. 14, 1946, and she survives.

He was a 1939 graduate of Coraopolis High School. He was employed by Dravo Shipping and worked at Avtex Fibers as a spinner for 41 years.

He was a member of the Hickrnell United Methodist Church (he sang in the men’s group in his earlier years). He was a member of Meadville Archery Club, placing third in the nationals  in Watkins Glen, N.Y., in 1957.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Jamison of Meadville and daughter Marilyn Jamison of St. Paul, Minn.

He was preceded by son James on Nov. 18, 2008.

Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, and attend funeral services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Trask of Hickernell United Methodist Church officiating.

Internment will be in Rundell’s Cemetery.
