MEADVILLE — Anna Renee Schmitz passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving parents, Shawn and Megan Schmitz, on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Anna was born Nov. 14, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center.

During her short time on Earth, Anna touched many lives and was deeply loved and cherished by family, friends and everyone who met her.

Anna was received into heaven by her great-grandparents, Joseph Zejavac, Edward and Jennie Schmitz, Arthur and Dorothy Williams, and Eleanor McDonald.

In addition to her parents, Anna is survived by her great-grandmother, Yolanda Zejavac; grandmothers, Kathy Zejavac and Brenda Stevens; grandfathers, Charles Schmitz and Mark Williams; an uncle, Nathan Williams; aunts, Jessica Schmitz and Amy Williams, and her fiancé, Ben Custard; cousins, Gracelyn Cowher and Travis Custard; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and extended cousins.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Father Marc Solomon of the church as celebrant.

Anna’s family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Children’s Hospital and Meadville Medical Center whose valiant efforts gave us a beautiful week with our precious angel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Baby Anna Schmitz trust at any First National Bank branch to help the family pay for medical expenses, and any additional funds will be used to help other families cope with the loss of a child.

Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
