SAEGERTOWN — Gaylord L. Reagle, 73, of 20946 Peters Road, Saegertown, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at home.

Gaylord was born at home in Woodcock on Oct. 3, 1940, a son of the late Emmett and Irene (Luper) Reagle.

On Dec. 10, 1960 Gaylord married Mary Anne Gray; she survives.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith.

For the past 11 years, Gaylord was employed as a driver by Universal Wells, Meadville. He had previously been employed by Clair J. Ferry Inc. of Saegertown, Kebort Construction Co. of Meadville from 1966-2002 and Erie Lackawanna Railroad from 1963-66. In his earlier years, he had done logging with his father and worked at Smitty’s Gasoline Ally.

A U.S. veteran, Gaylord entered the Navy in October 1957 and served until his honorable discharge on March 16, 1958. He attended schools in Saegertown and earned his GED while in the military. His hobbies included cutting wood.

In addition to his wife Mary Anne of 53 years, Gaylord is survived by five children, Bruce Reagle and his wife, Susan, of Cochranton, Gail Crum and her husband, Joe, of Saegertown, Sandra Reagle of Guys Mills, Joseph Ross Reagle of Meadville, and Marsha Mead and her husband, Mark, of Conneautville; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Myrna Parker and her husband, Charles, of Guys Mills; four brothers, Edward Reagle and his wife, Linda, of Springboro, James Reagle and his wife, Doris, of Franklin, Ky., Neil Reagle of Saegertown, and Keith Reagle and his wife, Mary, of Hartstown; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gaylord was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Reagle, and a sister, Cindy Trace.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown.
