Margaret J. Fox, 76, of 77 W. Main St., Ludlow, died late Thursday afternoon, Dec. 26, 2013, at the home of her son in Kane.
Born May 12, 1937, in Potter County, she was a daughter of Lloyd L. and Luella Finlaw Irwin. On Sept. 24, 1960, in Kane, she married James H. Fox, who died in 2005.
Margaret had worked at Stackpole Corp. in Kane and had owned the Horseshoe Deli in Ludlow for several years.
Surviving are a son, Michael Fox of Kane; three sisters, Pauline Miller of Meadville, Edith Allbaugh of Warren and Esther Jones of Russell. Three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by brothers, Lloyd and Robert Irwin; and sisters, Elizabeth Cochran and Katherine Moore.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc., 103 S. Fraley St., Kane, and may attend a service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, with the Rev. Chad Troup, pastor of First Church of God in Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Roses Cemetery near Marienville.
