Gerald L. Casbohm, 86, of Springboro passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. He was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Springboro, to the late Harry and Ruby Stump Casbohm. He married Nila Joan Hulley in 1954. She survives.
He was self-employed as a trucker and enjoyed farming. He served our country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He also served as a supervisor in Beaver Township for 12 years.
In addition to his wife of Springboro, he is survived by three children, Jean and her husband, Douglas See, of Green Castle, JoAnn (Jodi) Phelps and her husband, Douglas, of Springboro, and Gerald (Jerry) Casbohm and his wife, Becky, of Springboro; two sisters, Laura Wells of Ohio, and Florence Homa and her husband, Chuck, of Conneautville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and their wives, Earl and Helen Casbohm, and Clair and Audrey Casbohm; and a brother-in-law, Donald Wells.
Friends and relatives will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, Gina M. McCauley, funeral director, 1405 Main St., Conneautville.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Gerald Devine of the United Church of Beaver Center officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Beaver Center Cemetery.
