MEADVILLE — Regina Mae Collins, 88, of Meadville, went to be with her saviour at home on Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the presence of her loving family.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1924, a daughter of Clarence Diehl and Matilda Smith. She married Frank Gayle Collins on Oct. 27, 1945; he preceded her in death on May 5, 1999.

She was a graduate of Meadville Area High School.

Regina enjoyed a long career in food service and hotel management, and as well as raising her family. She was dedicated to her large extended family as well as the many beagle dogs she enjoyed as pets throughout her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Regina (Gena) Eileen Collins of Meadville; and a large and loving extended family of the Alexanders, the Petrusos, the Anthons, the Andrews, the Collins and the Monnies.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold Diehl, Mary Snowden, Ruth Monnie and Eileen Andrews.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made in Regina’s memory to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., or the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, both of Meadville, Pa. 16335.
