TEMPE, Ariz. —
Marilyn Smith Miller, 72, resident of Tempe, Ariz., passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Born April 20, 1940, in Meadville, she is a daughter of Hazel Smith of Cambridge Springs and the late J. Francis Smith.
Following her graduation from Cambridge Springs High School with the Class of 1958, she became employed by the Rural Electric Co-op Association in Cambridge Springs. She then moved to Grove City where she worked at the Grove City Bank. Subsequently, she moved to Arizona and was employed by K-Mart, retiring after 17 years of work. Marilyn loved shopping and being active with her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated fan of the music of Elvis Presley.
Surviving Marilyn, in addition to her mother, Hazel Smith of Cambridge Springs, are two brothers, Gary Smith of Oregon and Robert Smith of New Hampshire; four daughters, Denise Harkema and her husband, Turk, Cindy Olas and her husband, Mike, Tina Miller and Karen Miller; a son, Bryan; six grandchildren, Josiah and Isaac Peiffer, Brittany Miller; and Victoria, Jessica and Bryan Olas, all from Arizona.
Marilyn was preceded in death, in addition to her father, J. Francis Smith, by a sister, Karen Rabick.
A memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced.
