MEADVILLE — Jerry D. Cervone, 90, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Meadville Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Meadville, a son to the late Dominico Cervone and Bernice Luongo Cervone.

Jerry was a U.S. Army vet serving World War II and was also self-employed as a contractor.

Jerry was a member of St. Mary of Grace Catholic Church in Meadville and enjoyed volunteering at the church and was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Cervone and his wife, Karen, of Meadville; a brother, John Cervone of Ohio; two grandchildren, Trudy (John) Sampson and Michael (Cindy) Bump; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and a brother.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Arrangements are under the care of Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
