MEADVILLE — Priscilla C. Rohrer, 88, of Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community for the past two years, died there Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

She was born in Tamworth, N.H., in 1925, a daughter of William and Eunice Hidden Clapp. She married Robert Lee Rohrer Sr. on April 25, 1946, and he preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1998.

She was a graduate of Swampscott High School in Swampscott, Mass., and Westbrook College in Portland, Maine. She worked as a secretary for the American Red Cross in Meadville and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golfing and swimming. She was very active socially and enjoyed spending time with her many friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Curtis and her husband, Scott, of Meadville, and Linda Pearson and her husband, Charles, of Enola; three grandchildren, Charles H. Goyette of Pittsburgh, Clayton Curtis of Atlanta, Ga., and Gregory Curtis of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Gordon Clapp of Dunn, N.C.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Rohrer Jr.

Calling hour will be Jan. 18 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the chapel at First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen, pastor, officiating. A reception will follow in the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville, Pa. 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Robert W. Waid Funeral Home Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
