David Edward Bish, 82, of Conneautville died peacefully Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Hannastown on Aug. 27, 1931, to the late Vernon H. Bish and Olive Long Bish Pyle. He married Betty Lee Tyler in 1951.
He worked for Penn Furniture, Union Carbide and owned and operated his own dairy farm.
He was a member of Palmer United Methodist Church since 1954. He belonged to Crawford Masonic Lodge 258 and recently received his 50-year pin. He also belonged to the Erie Zem Zem Shrine Club. He loved farming. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed greatly.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by three children, Linda (Oliver James IV) Moody of Meadville, David (Charlene) Bish of Conneautville and Tamara (Philip) Miczikus of Conneautville; eight grandchildren, Buddy Moody of Meadville, Brett Moody of Meadville, Sandy Rockrohr of Kentucky, Deborah Bish, David Bish, Derrick Bish, all of Conneautville, and Hannah and Philip Miczikus of Conneautville; eight great-grandchildren, Brianna and Oliver Moody of Meadville, Dane and Emma Moody of Meadville, Madeline and Morgan Rockrohr of Kentucky, and Ava and Brooke Bish of Conneautville; three sisters, Grace Keyser of Kansas, June (James) Mullins of Florida and Louise (Andy) Molnar of Conneautville.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St. Conneautville. The funeral will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastors Bob Klingler and Denny Belknap of Heartland Crossroads Ministry officiating.
