WOODCOCK TOWNSHIP —
Rowena Rust, 88, of Woodcock Township, Crawford County, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Rolling Fields, Conneautville.
Born on Oct. 5, 1925, in Farrell, she was a daughter of the late James Guy Marshall and Gertrude DeFrance Marshall. Mrs. Rust graduated from Meadville High School with the class of 1943 and completed the Meadville City Hospital School of Nursing program, graduating in 1950. She then began her career as a registered nurse at Meadville City Hospital, retiring in 1989.
Surviving Mrs. Rust are three daughters, Heather Bress of Sharpsville and her three children, Zachary, David and Eli Bress; Minnette Clepper and her husband, Gregory, of Woodcock and their children, Aaron Clepper, Alyse Richmond and her husband, Michael, Nathaniel Clepper, and Rebecca Clepper; a son, Graydon Rust of Aspen, Colo., and his daughter, Christina Young; and Lorraine Price and her husband, Alfred, of Woodcock and their children, Andrew, Mariah and Ian Price.
Preceding Mrs. Rust in death was her husband, Robert Rust, who died on June 23, 2009; two brothers, Alexander Marshall and Rolland Marshall; and a sister, Julie Marshall.
No funeral services are being planned. Interment will take place in Gravel Run Cemetery, Woodcock Township.
Arrangements are under the direction of Van Matre Family Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs.
