ROCKLAND, Maine —
Twila J. Westfall, 89, formerly of Meadville and a resident of Woodlands of Rockland, Maine, for the past four years, died there Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Meadville on June 20, 1924, a daughter of John and Gertrude Bossard Janot. She married Lloyd Frantz and he preceded her in death. She subsequently married Walter L. Westfall on April 14, 1965, and he preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1995.
She was office manager and secretary at Plant 7 of Talon Inc., retiring in 1989 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and volunteered at the Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking long walks.
She is survived by her son, Paul Frantz and his wife, Emily, of Warren, Maine; four grandchildren, Stephen Frantz, Gary Frantz, Janelle Brooks and Deana Hershey; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Frantz.
The graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Greendale Cemetery, 700 Randolph St., Meadville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robert W. Waid Funeral Home Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
