MAIDSVILLE, W.Va. —
Karen (TT) M. Whitmore Smith, 49, of Maidsville, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at her home with family by her side.
The daughter of the late Bruce A. Whitmore Sr. and Beverly M. McCord, she was born Dec. 3, 1964, in Meadville.
Karen graduated from Saegertown High School and was employed by Meadville Medical Center for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Smith; two sons, Joshua S. Clayson of Maidsville and his wife, Kaytlin Clayson of Meadville, and Paul R. Beatty of Maidsville; three stepchildren, Donald W. Smith Jr. and his wife, Collette, of Tunnelton, W.Va., Tasha S. Nelson of Tunnelton and Cody D. Smith, of Kingwood, W.Va.; a sister, Mr. and Mrs. Brad (Virginia) Rossey of Meadville; three nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Stephanie) McKinney, Amanda S. Rossey of Slippery Rock and Kayla L. Rossey of Meadville; a nephew, Chris A. Foust of Meadville; two grandchildren, Josiah S. Clayson and Sara D. Smith; mother-in-law, Mary L. Miller of Albright, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Helen Crouch and her husband, Charles, of Kingwood; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Miller Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Bretz, W.Va., and Dale W. Miller and his wife, Angie, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.
Family and friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills today from 11 a.m. until the 1:30 p.m. service in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Albright (Valley Point), W.Va.
A memorial service will follow Sunday at 5 p.m. in Meadville Alliance Church, 600 N. Main St., Meadville.
