Juli Ann Eppehimer Luikart

SPRING LAKE, N.C. — SPRING LAKE, N.C. — Juli Ann Eppehimer Luikart, 33, of 195 Montana Lane, Spring Lake, N.C., and formerly of Meadville, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 24, 2010, at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, N.C.

Juli was born in Meadville on Feb. 7, 1977, a daughter of Blaine H. and Joyce (Randall) Eppehimer.

On Aug. 2, 2003, Juli married Zackary T. Luikart; he survives.

For the last two years Juli had been a store manager at PetSmart in Fayetteville, N.C. She previously had been employed as a photo lab manager by Wal-Mart Stores Inc., working in Meadville, Edinboro and most recently North Carolina. Following her 1995 graduation from Fairfield High School, Juli attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for two years. A professional photographer, Juli had been an owner in the former J & W Studios of Meadville, located on Park Avenue. While living in Meadville, she volunteered at Women’s Services Inc. for several years.

Juli had a great passion and appreciation for the outdoors, nature and animals. She had a great love for her husband, family and friends, and a contagious smile that will live in the hearts of those who loved her. She loved biking, hiking, kayaking, and riding motorcycles with Zack. Her pets were an important part of her life, and Hunter, her white German shepherd, was her constant companion and protector while Zack was deployed. She took great pride in being the wife of an Army soldier and took an active role in his service to our country.

In addition to her husband, Zackary, of six years, Juli is survived by her father, Blaine Eppehimer and his companion, Mary Lou Puchacz, of Meadville; her mother and stepfather, Joyce and Gary McNulty of Conneaut Lake; her stepfather, David Binkley of Lititz; paternal grandmother Doris Recchia of Florida; maternal grandmother Anna Mae Randall of Meadville; two sisters, Hollie DeWalt and her husband, Patrick, of Traverse City, Mich., and Autumn O’Hara and her husband, Jason, of Guys Mills; two brothers, Shane P. Clark and his wife, Bobbie Jo, of Cochranton, and Jesse Eppehimer of Meadville; 11 nieces and nephews; her father-in-law, Mark W. Luikart of Saegertown; and her mother-in-law, Linda Ray of Enid, Okla.

Juli was preceded in death by her stepmother, Linda (Feleppa) Eppehimer.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Meadville Alliance Church, 660 N. Main St., Meadville, with the Rev. Jeffrey Conley, pastor, and the Rev. Wayne Eppehimer, uncle, officiating.

Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Women’s Service Inc., PO Box 537, or to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., both of Meadville, Pa. 16335.
