MEADVILLE — Louise E. Aiken, 90, formerly of Cochranton, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville, following a lengthy illness. Born in Pittsburgh on March 17, 1923, she was a daughter of Harry G. and Melissa Faulds Koch. She married Russell E. Aiken on March 23, 1943, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1996.

She worked as a secretary, accountant and tax collector and her last job was the secretary at the former Race Street Lumber in Meadville.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Aiken McCabe and her husband, Kevin, of New Castle, and Linda Aiken of Cochranton; six grandchildren, which were her greatest joy, Dawnalee Holowell, Ira Holowell and Isaac Holowell and his wife, Ashley, Russell McCabe, Nathan McCabe and Kristin McCabe Becker and her husband, Skippy; and seven great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Lakota, Lily, Amelia, Kaitlyn, Nathan and Miles.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan; and a great-granddaughter, Lily.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at a later date.

Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, is in charge of arrangements.
