Geraldine Ann Davis, 75, resident of 22205 Sherred Hill Road, Venango, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at Meadville Medical Center after an illness of four months.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Oct. 6, 1937, Geraldine was a daughter of the late Henry Seitz and Anna Moslow Seitz. She married Clifford Ronald Davis on Sept. 25, 1982; he survives.
Geraldine was a graduate of Fredonia State University, receiving a bachelor of science degree in education. She taught elementary school for a number of years and also did substitute teaching for many years. Geraldine, in later years, became the owner of a business complex in downtown Cambridge Springs, which housed several apartments and business offices, and actively managed them for more than 15 years. In her pastime, she enjoyed gardening and antiquing.
Family members surviving Geraldine include her husband of 30 years, Clifford Ronald Davis of Venango; a daughter, Nancy Ann Wescott and her husband, David, of Cambridge Springs, and their two children, Keith and Abigail; a son, Jeffrey Richard Notaro of New York City; sons, Clifford Ronald Davis Jr. and his wife, Ellen, and their daughter, Elizabeth, of Watertown, N.Y., and William Davis and his children, Drew, Kristin, Tyler and James, of Mill Village; daughters, Holly Tucci and her husband, Scott, of Edinboro, and Rebecca Humes and her husband, Jeff, and their son, Matthew, of Woodcock Township.
Friends may call at Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Monday morning at 10, which will be officiated by Clifford Davis Jr.
Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
