SAEGERTOWN — Allen Scott Lenhart (known as Scott), 58, of 18229 State Highway 198, Saegertown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Saint Vincent Health System, Erie.

He was born in Meadville on Jan. 6, 1955, a son of Harold Eugene and Mae (Wetsell) Lenhart.

Following his 1973 graduation from Saegertown High School, Scott began his employment with Saeger Carbide/Greenleaf Corp. His work ethic along with strong math and tooling skills enabled Scott to continually advance within the corporation where he was highly respected by all.

He was a member American Legion Post 205 of Saegertown, the Sertoma Club, Taylor Hose, West Mead Volunteer 2 Volunteer Fire Department, and the Hunting and Fishing Club of Meadville.

His hobbies included attending garage sales and flea markets; collecting antiques, especially old woodworking tools; hunting; fishing; sitting around campfires; doing woodworking; gardening; playing cards and Scrabble.

In addition to his parents, Harold (Eugene) and Mae Lenhart of Saegertown, Scott is survived by a sister, Diane Priestes of Erie; two brothers, Gerry E. Lenhart, and Brian D. Lenhart and his wife, Irene, both of Saegertown; his close companion of 26 years, Mary Ann Phelps of Meadville; his extended family, Debbie Phelps, Melissa Woodworth, Ryan Phelps, Jordan Woodworth, Deven Woodworth and Haylei Phelps; and six nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown.

Private interment will take place in Venango Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15205-4620.
