EDINBORO – Steven Lee Pisarchick, 26, of Edinboro, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, after an extended illness. He was born in Meadville on Oct. 7, 1982, a son of Don L. Pisarchick of South Carolina and Pauline M. Tomczak Kraus of Edinboro.
Steven was a member of the General McLane Class of 2001. He earned an associate’s degree in 2006 at Triangle Tech in Erie, with dean’s list honors in maintenance electricity and construction technology.
He achieved the rank of life scout and junior leadership training honors in Boy Scout Troop 176 in Edinboro. He also was received into the Order of the Arrow. Steven was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Edinboro, volunteering to help build the Mission Garden.
Steven was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved canoeing on French Creek with his friends. He loved music, watching football and NASCAR, helping friends and family with construction projects, and spending time with friends.
Besides his loving parents, survivors include, eight brothers and sisters, Matthew Pisarchick and his wife, Dana, of North Carolina, Thomas Pisarchick of Edinboro, Amanda Pisarchick of South Carolina, Ryan Kraus and Adam Kraus of Edinboro, Heather Trimmer of South Carolina, Keith Dibell of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Cory Dibell of South Carolina; his stepmother, Janet Pisarchick of South Carolina; his stepfather, Peter Kraus of Edinboro; his paternal grandparents, Leonard Pisarchick of Linesville and Betty Pisarchick of Meadville; and maternal grandmother, Hazel Tomczak of Linesville. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie St., Edinboro, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted at First United Presbyterian Church of Edinboro, 4281 Route 6N, on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John Dietz officiating.
Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery.
