Kevin (Harv) C. Longo, 41, of 19900 Eddy St., Meadville, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Meadville on Aug. 31, 1967, a son of Joseph and Sonja Seger Longo.

He was employed as a stocker with Quality Fresh Market in Meadville.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He was a member of the Italian Civic Club, the Eagles Club and the Meadville Club.

Survivors include his mother, Sonja Swanson of Meadville; his father, Joseph Longo and his wife, Diane, of Meadville; two sisters, Brenda Waid of Meadville, and Tracy Brenot and her husband, P.J., of Cochranton; a brother, Joseph Longo of Meadville; his maternal grandmother, Helen Seger of Clarion; niece and nephews, Brittany Waid, Zachary Waid, Travis Brenot and Mike Brenot; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Swanson.

Calling hours will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral and committal service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Chaplain Joe Kaufer of Southern Care Hospice officiating.

Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
