Published November 08, 2009 07:22 pm - CLARENDON — William (Billy) Walters, 66, of Chapman Dam Road, Clarendon, formerly of Arizona, passed away following a brief illness on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie.

CLARENDON — William (Billy) Walters, 66, of Chapman Dam Road, Clarendon, formerly of Arizona, passed away following a brief illness on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie.
Billy was born in Meadville to the late Leo Clair and Dorothy Rock Walters. He was married to Constance Bullock Walters, who died in 1992.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a welder at various shops, including Struthers Wells Corp.
He was a member of Clarendon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 314. He also enjoyed working on cars.
He is survived by four children, Lucrecia Wagner and her husband, Dave, of Warren, Sonja Irons and her husband, Mark, of Youngsville, Robert Walters and his friend, Heather Corbin, of Cherry Grove, and Mary Walters of Youngsville; two brothers, Thomas Walters of Clarendon and Leo Walters of Meadville; and five grandchildren.
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, William Walters Jr.; one granddaughter, Jessica Lynn; one sister, Vickey Leach; and one sister in infancy, Donna Marie.
The funeral will take place at Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home, 203 W. Main St., Sheffield, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Brian Haight, Mission Covenant Church, will officiate.
Calling hours are today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Warren County Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Clarendon VFW Post No. 314 Scholarship Fund.
