HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — Margaret P. Goss (formerly of Meadville and 30 years in Port St. Lucie, Fla.,), a resident of Country Meadow Rest Home, Hendersonville, N.C., passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009.
She was born in Meadville on Dec. 12, 1920, a daughter of the late Margaret M. and William P. Clancy. On Jan. 24, 1942, she married Robert K. Goss; he preceded her in death March 26, 1997.
While living in Meadville, she worked 10 years in food service at Neason Hill School. After moving to Florida in 1970, she retired from Martin County School District with 12 years of service there.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Kaufman and her husband, Daniel, of Saegertown, and Debra Pratt and her husband, Rodney, of Hendersonville; two sons, Kenneth Goss and his wife, Pat, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Robert Goss and his wife, Shirley, of Pasadena, Md.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Robert, of 55 years, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marian Yeager and Gail Mowris; and three brothers, William Clancy, Vincent Clancy and Jack Clancy; a granddaughter; and a grandson.
Arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of Thomas Shepherd and Son Funeral Home of Hendersonville.
