WESTFORD — Shirley J. Rossiter, 74, of Westford, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville.
Born March 31, 1934 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank and Lillian Riddel Bell. She married F. Edward Rossiter on Sept. 24, 1954; he preceded her in death on March 27, 2005.
She was a member of the North Shenango Presbyterian Church.
Shirley was a homemaker and later in life had worked at Federal Home Loan Bank in Pittsburgh.
For over 10 years, she was a volunteer at Homestead Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and loved to play and listen to music.
Survivors include a daughter, Laurie J. Finnecy and her husband, Terry, of Lusby, Md.; a son, Gary B. Rossiter of Chandler, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Jeff Rossiter, Samantha Rossiter, Katie Finnecy and Jill Finnecy; a great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Finnecy; and her special friends, Mike and Debbie Dzera of Westford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Donald Bell.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the North Shenango Presbyterian Church, 10377 Church Road, Espyville, with Dan McEldowney, Pastor of the church, officiating.
Burial will be in Espyville Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the church at 10377 Church Rd., Espyville, Pa. 16424.
