Cyril Lewis Sperry, 65, of 455 Chestnut St., Meadville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Juniper Village.
Cyril was born in Meadville on Dec. 31, 1942, a son of the late Rodney P. and Lucille Ross Sperry.
He was affiliated with Meadville Alliance Church.
For 23 years Cyril was employed as a television technician in Washington, D.C. He previously had been employed by Public Television in Roanoke, Va., as a television technician. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Cyril served his country during the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1968. In his earlier years he attended Venango schools.
His hobbies included working with electronics and hiking.
Cyril is survived by a brother, David Sperry and his wife, Monta, of Greene, R.I.; three nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by this parents, Rodney L. Sperry and Lucille Ross Sperry.
Family and friends are invited to call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where the funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Jeffrey Conley, pastor of Meadville Alliance Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
