Lloyd Raymond Wagner, 92, of Meadville, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, at UPMC Horizon, Greenville.
Born July 29, 1916, in Meadville, he was a son of George and Lillian Hill Wagner.
He was employed at Abex (formerly American Brakeshoe). He was a machinist and did special projects for the U.S. Navy during World War II. He also had his own business doing small engine and lawn mower repair and welding.
He was a National Rifle Association/ILA member and gun enthusiast who would sight, mount and anneal rifle scopes. He loved fishing, hunting, welding, gardening, dancing, camping and boating. He was a member of Meadville Eagles Aerie 429 and he was an Elk for a few years.
Survivors include his life partner of several years, Patricia Baussman of Meadville; three daughters, JoAnne Celmer and her husband, Alphonse, of Gainesville, Va., Kathleen Wagner of Charlotte, N.C., and Marilyn Wagner of Escondido, Calif.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence Wagner and his wife, Idafern, of Meadville, twins Dale Wagner and his wife, Jo, of Bellingham, Wash., and Dean Wagner and his wife, Ruth, of Longview, Texas, and Robert Wagner of Harmonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Alice Wagner.
Calling hours will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
The funeral will be Saturday at noon at the funeral home, with the Rev. Travis Webster of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville, officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
