LINESVILLE — Kenneth W. Blood, 70, of Linesville, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born May 12, 1938, in Beaver Center, he was a son of Harry R. and Edla Failes Blood. He married Jeanette F. Robinson March 15, 1969, at Calvary Baptist Church; she preceded him in death June 12, 2008.

For more than 30 years, he worked in the steel industry as a machine operator for Roger Brothers in Albion. Also, he owned and operated Blood’s Sawmill in Beaver Center for 18 years. He was a former member of the United Steel Workers of America.

He was a devoted lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Kenneth enjoyed deer hunting with his family.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry W. Blood and his wife, Patty, of Linesville, and Kenneth W. Blood Jr. and his friend, Don Bospaht, of Erie; two stepdaughters, Vickie Dean of Warren, Ohio, and Karen Koen and her husband, Mike, of Kannapolis, N.C.; a stepson, Kelly Reynolds and his wife, Kim, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Reynolds of Ashtabula, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Jason Brown, Lee Koen, Nathan and Kelly Blood, Justin and Angela Blood, Nicole and Colin Kosinski, Doug Reynolds, Spencer Reynolds, Sarah Reynolds, Sara and Chris Vallani, Jamie Reynolds, and Brandy Chapman; 12 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Leoria Smith of Meadville, Helen Funk and her husband, John, of Conneautville, Ida Tobin of Cambridge Springs, Betty Ball of Statesville, N.C., Phyllis Fleek and her husband, Chuck, of Meadville, and Shirley Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; and a brother, Harold R. Blood of Big Sandy, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette F. Blood; a stepson, Alan D. Reynolds; a grandson, Matthew Dean; a sister, Doris Wamsley; and two brothers, Nelson Blood and Harry Blood Jr.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

Additional calling hour will be Friday before the funeral from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Loren Little of Conneautville Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
