Norma G. Carrier Klinginsmith

Norma G. Carrier Klinginsmith, 88, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville, from complications of a stroke.
Born April 10, 1920, in Dillon, Mont., Norma was the eldest child of Ella Gordon Carrier and Hiram Carrier. She grew up in Atlantic and graduated salutatorian from East Fallowfield High School in 1939. On Nov. 3, 1939, Norma married Donald C. Klinginsmith, who preceded her in death in 1981. After founding Boonesboro Campground at Conneaut Lake in 1964, she retired from Talon Inc. in 1975 and wintered in Crystal River, Fla.
Norma was a member of Fallowfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, writing, crocheting and doing crosswords. She was also a member of the Lakeland Senior Center and the Domino Dollies.
Norma is survived by her former husband, Lloyd Klinginsmith; two sons, Ronald Klinginsmith (Susan) and F. Brian Klinginsmith (Barbara); three daughters, Dolores Baker (David), Sharon Ferguson (Michael) and Marsha Smith (Thomas); two brothers, Gordon Carrier (Helen) and Walter Carlyle Carrier (Dora Mae); three sisters, Gwendolyn McQuiston Myers (Carl), Jeannie Lowe (Charles) and Audrey Brown (R. Wesley, deceased); 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her dear, special friend, Clair McGranahan.
Norma will be sadly missed by all. Calling hours are today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake.
Her funeral will be conducted by the Rev. David Brumagin of Trinity United Methodist Church of Conneaut Lake on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Lakeland Senior Center, 110 Erie St., Linesville, Pa. 16424.
