TITUSVILLE — Ethel Luzier Barton Greenawalt, 91, formerly of Townville and Titusville, and residing at Golden Living Center-Titusville, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Golden Living Center.
She was born in Woodland, Clearfield County, April 6, 1916, a daughter of George Luzier and Mary Maines Luzier. She married Ivan L. Barton in 1934; he preceded her in death in 1982. She married Leo Greenawalt in 1993.
She was a homemaker. She had sold honey and homemade bread at the Meadville Market House for many years. She wove baskets out of pine needles and she liked to crochet. She also loved to write poems and short stories.
She was a member of the Crawford County Bee Keepers Association and the Pierian Club in Townville.
She was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Leo, of Titusville; three children, Lila L. Hollabaugh of Townville, William L. Barton and his wife, Patricia, of Clearwater, Fla., and V. Gail Lobdell of Townville; a stepson, Leo Greenawalt Jr. of Seattle, Ore.; nine grandchildren, Brad, Brian and Brett Hollabaugh, Lisa Maas, Lori Muir, Terry, Barry and Joseph Lobdell, and Melissa Ferguson; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ivan; and nine siblings.
Calling hour will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, Main Street, Townville.
The funeral and committal service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Joseph Burgess of the Church of Christ, Coatesville, officiating.
Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
