Paul H. Graff

ERIE — Paul H. Graff, 76, of 6351 W. Lake Rd., Erie, and formerly of Conneautville, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, at Hamot Medical Center.

He was born in Oil City on May 13, 1933, a son of the late Clarence and Fern Talbot Graff. He married his beloved wife of 40 years, Carol Hoesch. She preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 1995.

He retired from G.E. of Erie as a supervisor after 35 years of service. He was an Army veteran and a member and former usher of the Valley Church-United Methodist of Conneautville.

He enjoyed being with his family, traveling, cheering on his hometown team and the Cleveland Indians and Browns, exercising, and keeping his lawn looking like a golf course in the summer.

Survivors include a son, Paul Brian Graff of Erie; a daughter, Darla Graff of Mentor, Ohio; a sister, Kathryn Mead of Conneautville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents; a brother, Lewis Graff; and a sister, Betty Jane Johnson Palermo.

A private viewing for family and close friends will be held Monday prior to an 11 a.m. service at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, with Pastor Robert Trask of the Valley Church-United Methodist officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorials may be made to the Valley Church-United Methodist, 1118 Main St., Conneautville, Pa. 16406 or the Paralized Veterans Association.
