Christine (Grace) Taylor, 83, of 17948 Mullen Road, Meadville passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at home.
Grace was born in Meadville on Sept. 6, 1925, the daughter of the late Paul and Adele (Christini) Tagliaferri.
On Dec. 1, 1945, Grace married Molette Taylor; he survives.
She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.
In her earlier years Grace and her husband, Molette, owned and operated the former Star-Lite Motel located on Route 322. She had also been employed by the former Talon and the former Avtex Fibers, both of Meadville.
Grace had attended Meadville schools.
She was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006 Auxiliary; a member of American Legion Post 111; the Italian Civic Club; Vernon Central Fire Hall; the Hill Toppers; and the YWCA Gallavanters, where she had served as president.
In addition to Molette, her loving husband of 63 years, Grace is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by four sisters, Rita SanFelice, Mary D’Amico, Rose Spina and Anne Donato; and two brothers, Joseph and Edward Tagiaferri.
Family and friends are invited to call today from 2 to 7 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture service will be conducted at 1:45.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Meadville, with Father Rich Toohey, pastor of St. Mary of Grace, as celebrant.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.
