Darilynn J. (Lynn) Running



SAEGERTOWN — Darilynn J. (Lynn) Running, 55, of Saegertown, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center — Montefiore, Pittsburgh.

She was born in Washington, Pa., on June 25, 1953, a daughter of William E. and Marion Roach Reed. She married Ronald E. Running, Oct. 10, 2002.

A 1971 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School, she received an associate degree in fashion merchandising from Miami Fashion Institute, Miami, Fla. Lynn was employed at Wal-Mart, Meadville, for 12 years and previously worked at Mr. Donut, Meadville, which was owned by her parents.

She was a member of the Meadville Family YMCA, where she enjoyed water aerobics. She additionally enjoyed scrap booking, attending concerts, snowmobiling, going to movies and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Ronald, include two daughters, Kelly Scott and her husband, Paul, of Meadville and Lynsey Kightlinger and her husband, Ron, of Saegertown; two sons, David Luzier and Christopher Reed Luzier, both of Meadville; a stepson, Ryan Running of Conneautville; her mother, Marion Reed of Meadville; a sister, Donna Giles and her husband, Carey, of Saegertown; a brother, Dean Reed of Meadville; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Dorothy Running of Fountain, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Eells of Saegertown; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a niece and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be conducted at a date and time to be announced in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 1087 Park Ave., Meadville, Pa. 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.
