CONNEAUTVILLE — Don Carlton Tyler, 65, of 21810 Palmer Road, Conneautville, passed away at his residence Tuesday, May 20, 2008.
He was born in Spartansburg, S.C., Oct. 16, 1942, a son of the late Donald C. Tyler and Margaret (Pat) Wall Tyler. Don was a self-employed dairy farmer and milk hauler. He received the Star Farmer of America Award in 1964. He was a 1961 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School.
He was a member of nited Church of Beaver Center; Western Crawford Masonic Lodge 258 of Crawford County; Zem Zem Shriners, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; and Meadville Elks Lodge 219. He loved his dog, Spike, and cherished his hunting buddies very much.
He is survived by his loving companion, Judy Granda of Conneautville; four sons, Greg Tyler of Conneautville, Carl (Jay) Tyler and his wife, Kim, of Springboro, Douglas Tyler of Springboro and Kevin Tyler of Conneautville; four grandchildren, Michelle Luke of Polk City, Fla., Brandy Casbohm of DeBary, Fla., Branden Tyler of Albion and Patricia Tyler of Springboro; a sister, Gay Mason and her husband, Gene, of Meadville; a niece and a nephew.
Friends may call at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., where the service will be conducted by Pastor Jerry Devine at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Conneautville Cemetery.
A Masonic service will be conducted Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
