GUYS MILLS — Lenwood D. (Lenny) Schoch, 60, of Guys Mills, formerly of Franklin, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Golden Living Center, Meadville.
Born Aug. 3, 1947, in Franklin, he was a son of Dwight and Mary Scannell Schoch. He married Deborah Clevenger Aug. 19, 1988; she survives
He was a graduate of Lewistown High School. He spent most of his career in the military and was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force; he served in the Vietnam War era.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking, golf and exploring the world. He was involved in theater, plays and his political party, Democratic.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Deborah Schoch of Guys Mills; his mother, Mary Schoch of Guys Mills; two sons, Damian Schoch of England and Brandon Schoch of Arizona; three stepchildren, Rebecca King of Alliance, Ohio, Charlotte King of Barberton, Ohio, and Shawn Clevenger of Meadville; a sister, Jane Smith of Guys Mills; a brother, Buddy Schoch of Butler; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Tobey.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Alvin Schoch; and an uncle, James Scannell.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Clark of First Christian Church, Meadville, officiating, and full military honors by Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 52.
Interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
