LINESVILLE — Dr. Henry G. (Hank) Eberhart Jr., 68, of Linesville, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Golden Living Center, Meadville.
Born June 8, 1939, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Henry G. and Mary Hall Eberhart Sr. He married Nancy Pokosh Sept. 14, 1963.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and received his bachelor of science degree from Edinboro University. Hank continued his education, earning his master’s degree and doctorate in school administration.
He was a principal at Conneaut Valley Elementary School and retired in 1994 as the principal at Conneaut Lake Elementary School.
Hank was a past master of Pine Masonic Lodge 498, Linesville. He was a member of the Zem Zem Shriners and the Scottish Rite in Erie. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 462 in Linesville.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and reading.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Nancy Eberhart; his mother, Mary Eberhart of Jamestown; two daughters, Suzanne Moss and her husband, Michael, of Linesville, and Christine Gilfoyle and her husband, Kevin, of Greenville; six grandchildren, Marissa, Sarah, Nicholas, Brandon, Connor and Shawn; and two sisters, Marilyn Dull and her husband, Dr. David Dull, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Veronica Arrants and her husband, William, of Lexington, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
By order of Edward Ferris, worshipful master of Pine Masonic Lodge 498, there will be a Masonic service at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The memorial service will follow the calling hours today at 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph C. Rial Jr., United Methodist minister, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Conneaut Valley Elementary School Library, 22361 State Highway 18, Conneautville, Pa. 16406; the Conneaut Lake Elementary School Library, 630 Line St., Conneaut Lake, Pa. 16316; or the Linesville Community Public Library, PO Box 97, Linesville, Pa. 16424.
